When you sit down and imagine the movie that someone will someday make about your life (you know you do it), Drew Barrymore is the person that every girl likes to imagine will play her. Why? The girl has soul, that's why! Just look at that seventies, African inspired beadwork she's rockin' on the red carpet!!! And I'd be willing to bet that she doesn't have a stylist, either - you could give her a basement full of old clothes and she'd be able to pick out the best piece!
Buffy Sainte-Marie was a graduating college senior in 1962 and hit the ground running in the early the Sixties, after the beatniks and before the hippies. All alone she toured North America's colleges, reservations and concert halls, meeting both huge acclaim and huge misperception from audiences and record companies who expected Pocahontas in fringes, and instead were both entertained and educated with their initial dose of Native American reality in the first person.
She disappeared suddenly from the mainstream American airwaves during the Lyndon Johnson years. As part of a blacklist which affected Eartha Kitt, Taj Mahal and a host of other outspoken performers, her name was included on White House stationery as among those whose music "deserved to be suppressed". In Indian country and abroad, however, her fame only grew.
Buffy is also a digital artist, mixing old and new with photoshop and native imagery.

Apparently North American bling is totally, totally lame compared to Gypsy bling. These guys live in Romania and call themselves Gypsy Barons. One gold chain is nothing to them. It's for kids. Seven gold chains with $ signs, a stolen Mercedes Benz hood ornament, the Virgin Mary and four giant golden rings is the bare minimum if you want to be taken seriously in Romania. One chain is alright if you wear it with a massive dinner plate bearing the image of Mary holding Baby Jesus.
